Obviously, we weren't in a position to put an offer in, as we didn't have the money. The agent called us a few days later to say that someone else was very interested, and then he called again to say that they'd submitted an offer, but that they were in a chain, so the vendors would rather sell to us. We said that we didn't have the finance in place yet, so they would be better off accepting the other peoples offer. We firmly believed that if it was the right property, that God would overcome any obstacles. We stopped looking for properties and just trusted that God knows what he's doing. Fast forward to January, we started to feel a sense that something was going to happen soon, so one day Ruth prayed that if God wanted us to look online at properties that she would see a camel that day. Later that afternoon, we were watching a cookery programme from Australia and they were visiting a small holding, looking at vegetables and guess what, the owners had a small herd of camels! So Ruth was straight on to the internet and she found that the property we wanted was back on the market, the sale had fallen through! And it's still available now. The couple who are paying for the solicitors asked if we could send them a link to the house and it's definitely still on the market.
Coming back to the jigsaw analogy, it's difficult when you can't find the right piece or when it actually appears to be missing altogether, when you know that piece is vital for the rest of the jigsaw to be built around; or if you're not even 100% sure what the final picture looks like. We've been in that place for so long now, it will be 1 year at the end of February since we left ngm, but we've now been handed the next piece of the jigsaw, so are believing that the end is in sight.
