As many of you may know, we believe that God called us to set up Time2, that he told us that we would have a home set in a beautiful countryside location that we could invite church leaders/workers to come and stay. That it would be a place of rest, relaxation and restoration for those who desperately need to feel loved and valued.
We’ve been on a 6+ years journey since God placed this prophetic dream in our hearts, a journey that resulted in us leaving the ministry that we were working in at the time, leaving friends and setting out into the wilderness. We never knew how long this journey was going to take, we just believed and followed our calling.
In late summer of 2023, we were sent details of a property in Hereford by a prayer partner. We contacted the sellers, who were a lovely Christian couple who had the house built about 10 years ago as a small retreat centre. They’d prayed over the land before the house was built, dedicating the land and everything that went on there to God. When we contacted them, we told them our story and that we didn’t have any money, but they said that they wanted us to go and view the property, which we did. After viewing it and spending hours talking and praying with the couple, we all felt that this could be of God and that we’d all go away and pray about it further.
Over the next few months, we kept in touch with them, as we knew that a number of other interested people were also viewing the property. They emailed us to say that they couldn’t see any of the other people running the house and that our vision appeared to be so in line with what they were doing, that they felt we were the right people to take over the property. We’ve prayed about it, talked with people about it, regularly checked our bank account for a gift from God, but we still didn’t have the money.
In December, we felt God tell us to give away the little money we had, so after praying, we were able to bless a number of church leaders who God laid on our hearts. Then we were contacted by the sellers to ask us to revisit in January, to spend time talking and praying with them. When we arrived, they saidThis morning, I was listening to a preach from the Passion 24 conference, in which Louie Giglio showed a graph that shows all the 63,799 cross references throughout the Bible. I remember having seen it previously on social media, but that I’d never fully appreciated the magnitude of what I was looking at. There were promises that were made in Genesis that are not fulfilled until Revelation, with thousands somewhere in between. What suddenly struck me was that this was a picture of our story, we can’t see it all now, but there are so many cross references, situations we’ve been through, things we’ve learnt, people we’ve met, words and promises we’ve received that if we could fully see and understand, would totally blow our minds. We’ve had glimpses along the way, but there is so much more to come.
This still doesn’t answer the question of the house, but it gives us more confidence than ever, that God is still working, even when we don’t see it!
