As a teenager, I was greatly influenced (and still am) by the songs and writings of the late, great Keith Green, who was tragically killed in a plane crash in 1982 along with 2 of his young children, he was just 28 years old! The reason I mention this is because as I've been thinking and preparing this blog, I've had the title track of his 3rd album buzzing around in my head - So You Wanna Go Back to Egypt.

Sitting here at the beginning of November 2019, I'm reminded that we're rapidly approaching an anniversary of our Time2 journey! On 11th November last year, we announced to friends and family by email and to the wider world via social media, that we were going to be leaving ngm at the end of February. It's hard to believe that we're just over a week away from this milestone and that it's now 8 months since we actually moved back home.

I was recently reading the story in Ezekiel 37 about the dry bones (if you're not familiar with the story, do take 5 minutes to read the passage) the situation seemed impossible. The first thing that jumped out of the story was at the beginning, when he sees the valley of dry bones. What does God say to him? He just asks Ezekiel a simple question, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' and Ezekiel doesn't give the obvious answer of no, how can these long dead bones live again, instead he responds with 'Master God, only you know that.'

I've been asked by a few people about why I blog. For as long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed writing. I often find it easier to express myself in writing rather than verbally. In meetings, I will often sit and listen unless I feel that I have something to say that will add to the discussions taking place, I don't believe in just talking for the sake of it.
